We had our car serviced on this week and were completely impressed with the service, price and efficiency we received at Tim’s Automotive. Dave, the owner, ensured we had personalized care and made sure his team did all that was needed to have our car back on the road that same day. His team at the front desk and in the shop were all friendly and informative. Not only was the customer service exceptional, we felt very informed on the work that needed to be done and the suggestions made to increase the performance on our car. I felt they were very accurate to their estimate and made sure I had all the information prior to proceeding with any work. I will certainly continue to bring our vehicle to Tim’s Automotive and strongly recommend them to anyone looking for regular maintenance and/or the big fixes! Thank you Dave and team!

I moved to Nanaimo in the fall of 2015 and shortly after went to Tim’s Automotive on a recommendation to have my 2008 PT Cruiser tuned up and safety checked to transfer over to BC. The service was friendly, fast, thorough, and economical. I’ve since moved all of my automotive needs to Tim’s. Everyone working there is absolutely great. Dave always checks around to find the best deal on parts and he sure has a wide ranging and comprehensive network of partners and suppliers to draw from. He always checks with me before doing any serious amount of labour or when he simply knows a job could get expensive. The mechanics are wonderful. My ten year old car is purring like a kitten for the first time in years. They often clean up my car after working on it. They drive me home and pick me up while working on my car. They partner with HB Towing, so a pick-up of my car when needed is hassle free and simply added to my final bill with Tim’s, which is a huge amount of peace of mind. They follow up on the service they provide and they stand by their work, which is always pleasantly rare to find. They are also active in the local community, which is really nice to see. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a local automotive shop I really trust. Tim’s Automotive are good people, offering good, honest service.

Recently my family and I

Recently my family and I were heading back to Nanaimo from a few relaxing days of golf on the Lower Mainland when the starter went in my truck and we were in the ferry line-up at Horseshoe Bay. A few profanities later I called Dave at Tim’s Auto and pleaded for help. The first thing Dave said was “don’t worry Eva, we will get this all figured out.” After a few mechanical questions Dave determined that it was not the battery, nor was it the alternator, but most likely the starter. Dave suggested that we tap on the starter, which is located under the engine, while one of us tries to start the truck so see if we can get it going again. We were not exactly sure what a starter looks like so Dave sent us a picture of it. We tapped and no go! A Tow truck was called and Dave had the truck sent to the Midas repair shop in North Vancouver. We walked on the ferry and the next morning Dave collaborated with Midas about the diagnosis, even ordering the starter under my account here, which in turn saved me some money. This all happened after Dave’s shop was closed and he still took the time to take care of his customer! Awesome customer service and super honest establishment, in fact, Tim’s Automotive is simply outstanding!! Thanks again Dave.

A few months back my

A few months back my wife and I purchased an Xterra at Tim’s. Dave was very honest about the vehicle’s past. Shortly after the purchase we had a minor mechanical issue that Dave was more than willing to help us with. Needless to say we would recommend Tim’s for reliable and friendly service, and from here on out, our all mechanical needs will be brought to this shop!

A bouquet of hugs, kisses and gratitude to Dave and his mechanic Perry for finding the problem with the engine on my car. I had taken my car to three different garages in Nanaimo over the last 1and 1/2 years spent over $1,000.00 dollars and the problem was never fixed. I brought my car to Dave at Tim’s Automotive Repair and Perry had repaired it in a very short time at no charge. Tim’s has my auto repair business in the future.

I recently purchased a vehicle

I recently purchased a vehicle at Tim’s Auto Repair and Used car Sales. I had some concerns shortly after buying the car and returned to speak with Dave. He quickly assured me that he “had my back” and that he would take care of any issues. Sure enough, within a day, my vehicle was returned and the minor issue was resolved to my satisfaction. I can see what they won the “Business of the Year“ award by the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce. It’s so refreshing in this day and age to find someone who actually stands behind their product(s).

It should also be mentioned that the staff I dealt with (Vanessa, Herb and Dave) were super friendly. Vanessa even went out of her way to bring some treats in for my dog. Talk about going above and beyond!

I took my truck in

I took my truck in to tims to have a brake line repaired, they told me about other safety items the truck needed that i wasn’t aware of when i bought it. They are fair honest and care about their customers. Bottom line i trust them completely. they have a reasonable rates and they get the job done. Thank you all at tims for taking such good care of me. no wonder they are always busy, good shops like this one are hard to find . Great service A++

Dave, at Tim’s, fixed my son’s car in March. He was very understanding that my son was a student and didn’t have a lot to spend on it. He fixed what was needed and checked to ensure the car was safe to drive. Tim’s charges were very reasonable, and very appreciated. We will be back
